Corktown Bridge

To:  The Mayor and City Council of Ottawa

That the new pedestrian bridge spanning the Rideau Canal at Somerset Street be named "The Corktown Bridge" in honour of the early working class residents of Bytown/ Ottawa who founded a community named Corktown during the construction of the Rideau Canal.
