The New York City Department of City Planning has certified a plan to Rezone the 125th Street Corridor from River to River. This proposal is now being considered by the NYC Council for approval.

This plan will devastate the character of Harlem’s Main Street and it will do irreparable harm to the character of a community known as the Mecca of Black Culture.

The 125th Street Rezoning Plan ushers in high rise, luxury condominiums and huge commercial offices and retail buildings which will be unaffordable to most of the current residents and businesses of Harlem.

This plan, if approved, will cause further displacement of long-time residents and businesses of Harlem.

WE DEMAND THAT YOU USE ALL OF YOUR INFLUENCE AS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL AND YOUR VOTE ON THE NYC COUNCIL TO DEFEAT THIS HARMFUL PROPOSAL TO REZONE 125TH STREET.

As an Elected Official you have the option of serving at the will of Wealthy Real Estate Developers, Greedy Landlords, Corporations And Uncaring Public Bureaucracies, or you can serve the will of We, The People, your constituents.

If you fail to join us and support our interests; as we Fight to Reclaim, Preserve and Protect this Historic Community for ourselves, for our children and for future generations we will let our voices be heard and our votes counted during the upcoming Election for your Seat.
