STOP THE SHERMAN CELL TOWER

The Hawleys at 32 Leach Hollow Road have given approval to AT&T to erect a 175' cell tower on their property.

AT&T'S APPLICATION WILL BE PRESENTED TO FIRST SELECTMAN ANDREA O'CONNOR ON OR ABOUT APRIL 15TH.

Mr. Hawley writes in Citizen News, "In a stressed economy, I believe it would be naive to think that someone who might need current income or an income producing property wouldn't consider a wireless facility on their property.

We find this to be both dismaying and revealing. We are also puzzled by Mr. Hawley's inability to understand that there are many Shermanites–– the great majority of our town's residents, we believe, who would put their respect for their town, their consideration for their neighbors, and their love of Sherman's natural beauty ahead of financial gain.
