We the undersigned ask that you please reconsider and reject proposals pending before the General Assembly to repeal the sales tax exemption on the trade-in value of a car used as a down payment, the 3\% additional sales tax on higher priced cars and trucks and the coupon tax on the sale price of a car or truck.

These new taxes will raise the cost for consumers to purchase and finance autos, it will depress the in-state Automotive retail business dramatically, jeopardize hundreds of jobs and reduce, not raise, additional sales tax revenue to the state.
