We the undersigned respectfully petition Anchor Bay Entertainment of Troy, MI to release the 1983 Canadian horror film CURTAINS, directed by Richard Ciupka and starring John Vernon, Samantha Eggar, and Linda Thorson, on DVD. Anchor Bay Entertainment has a proven track record of releasing obscure and beloved independent films with outstanding extras. Such bonuses as commentaries with the filmmakers, behind-the-scenes footage, limited-edition tin cases, and interviews to name but a few make Anchor Bay Entertainment the ideal company to release this film.

CURTAINS is a film that was released on VHS in the early 1980s and desperately needs a home video upgrade to the DVD format. Many people have seen this film in their early teen years on cable and wish to purchase it on DVD. It is a wonderfully spooky film with terrific performances, excellent cinematography, and a superb musical score by Paul Zaza.

We request that CURTAINS be released with the following features:

* Image transferred from the original negative
* Reverse Spiral Dual Layer (RSDL) DVD-9 format for optimal picture and sound
* Commentary with cast members/director/musical score composer
* Theatrical trailer
* Isolated score transferred from the best available materials
* Posters/artwork for American and foreign distribution of the film
* Behind the scenes footage/interviews with John Vernon, Samantha Eggar, Linda Thorson and behind-the-scenes crew members
* Original/alternate ending
* Deleted scenes
