Respected Sir:
This is regarding the struggle by the people of Vaduthala against the forced eviction, to felicitate the new railway link to Vallarpadam container terminal. I have come to know that if the approved alignment is implemented, 183 families will have to be evicted and can create an additional expenditure of Rs 500 crore to our government. There is another alignment proposed using the existing unused ERG railway track which will not cause any eviction and is much less expensive. It appears that the state is doing gross injustice to the 183 families at Vaduthala and the tax payers of the state by implementing this project. This decision is also against the content and spirit of the national rehabilitation policy NR 2003 and NRP 2007. As a responsible citizen of India, I support and join the struggle by the people at Vaduthala against the injustice forced upon them. I hence request you to kindly review the proposals once again, and we appeal:

* To implement options with minimum or no displacements
* Plan proper rehabilitation for even minimum displacements
* Reexamine road and railway line proposals through the thickly populated areas and stop misuse of tax payers money
