A Signature Campaign For Collecting One Hundred Thousand Signatures For Putting An End To The Violations To Which The Darfur People Are Exposed:
"Darfur before it is to late"

The Arab Program for Human Rights Activists (APHRA) implores the whole world, and civil society organizations in particular, to make use of all possible means to save the Darfur people from the human disaster that plagued them due to the systematic violations by the Sudanese government and the Janjaweed militias that caused death and emigration of hundreds of thousands of people. In this human disaster, civilians -mostly children, women and old people- lack most ingredients of life. In addition, diseases, poverty, starvation and lack of water are all common. That situation really conflicts with all principles and commitments of the international human rights system.
This signature campaign is one of APHRA's year-long campaign for rescuing the Darfur people that includes several activities, publications and posters. This campaign is also a part of APHRA's strategy that is based on activating the role of human rights activists in confronting to their national problems and making use of all human rights and legal means to find effective solutions to these problems and find ways out of the Arab social enduring crises.

يناشد البرنامج العربي لنشطاء حقوق الإنسان العالم أجمع، ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني على وجه الخصوص العمل بكافة الوسائل الحقوقية لإنقاذ شعب دارفور من الكارثة الإنسانية التي حلت به من جراء الانتهاكات المنظمة التي تقدم بها الحكومة السودانية وميليشيات الجانجويد والتي خلفت الكثير من القتلى والنازحين والأوضاع الإنسانية المتردية، الأمر الذي يفتقر المدنيين فيه خاصة: (الفئات الأشد ضعفاً) الأطفال والنساء والشيوخ لأبسط مقومات الحياة، مع أنتشار الأمراض والفقر وتفشي الجوع ونقص المياه، في مخالفة واضحة لجميع مبادئ وأحكام القانون الدولي الإنساني والقانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان.
وتأتي حملة جمع المائة ألف توقيع هذه ضمن مفردات حملة البرنامج العربي لنشطاء حقوق الإنسان لإنقاذ شعب دارفور، والتي تستمر لمدة عام متضمنة العديد من الأنشطة والفاعليات والمطبوعات والملصقات في إطار استراتيجية البرنامج العربي في تفعيل دور نشطاء حقوق الإنسان في التصدي لقضايا أوطانهم والعمل بالوسائل الحقوقية والقانونية على إيجاد الحلول الناجعة لها و تسوية الأزمات المجتمعية العربية المزمنة عبر ذات الآليات
