Channel 4's traditional counterpoint to the Queen's Christmas Day 3pm broadcast has presented us with celebrities such as Quentin Crisp, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Doreen and Neville Lawrence, Ali G, Sharon Osbourne and The Simpsons. Chosen either for their commercial popularity or controversiality. I'm sure we can do better than this.

Now is the time for the Atheists, Scientists and Secular Humanists to have their say and to let this be the first truly alternative Christmas message. One that is thought provoking, enlightening, entertaining and conscious raising. A true alternative.
