DC Metro Republicans for Barack Obama

To:  The American People

We, the undersigned Republicans, believe that our Party has drifted far from its origins as a party of justice and opportunity for all Americans. We recognize that under Republican leadership, our government has become a bloated, weighed down by too much spending, improperly managed wars, and divisive social policies. We do not believe that Senator John McCain, as he panders to our fears and our cynicism, is the man to put our Party or our government back on course.

It is for the above reasons, and many individual ones, that we the undersigned Republicans, support Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States in the 2008 election. We believe Senator Obama is committed to working with all Americans, across Party lines, to fixing the problems enumerated above. We believe Senator Obama is uniquely capable of creating an America ready and willing to take on the challenges of the 21st Century.

We believe America is READY for Barack Obama.
