"The Dana Carvey Show" was a bit of a ratings disappointment in 1996, the year it aired on ABC for 7 episodes. However, it wasn't for a lack of comedic talent the performers and writers on the show included sketch comedy legend Dana Carvey along with some amazing talent who have gone onto great things in the world of comedy. They include Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Robert Smigel, Louis C.K., Spike Feresten, Dave Chappelle, Charlie Kaufman, and Jon Glaser, amongst others.

With the current success of many of the show's contributors, there would be no better time than the present to finally bring this set of sketch-comedy episodes to DVD. The huge fan base for comedians like Carell, Colbert, and Louis C.K. - not to mention longtime Dana Carvey fans - would make this set a certain hit!

But of course, the main reason it should be released to DVD is because of the comedy and sketches themselves - they may have been a bit ahead of their time, causing the show to not stick around - but they'd certainly be in line with what comedy audiences expect and appreciate today.

Supposedly there were 11 episodes filmed of the show, and we believe that ABC should release all 11 as a DVD box set, along with interviews with many of the cast and crew who have gone onto incredible success.
