To:  Ottawa Senators Owner and Management

To the owner and management of the Ottawa Senators,

During the 2008 off-season, the unfortunate decision was made to abandon one of the few traditions this team possessed, their theme song. Nothing brought the Scotiabank Place crowd into game mood more than the ominous timpani drums followed by the trademark 5-note trumpet fanfare, bringing the players into battle. Today, fans are subjected to generic "rap-rock" music that is meant to be "cutting-edge". In reality, the music is derivative and uninteresting, serving the same purpose as elevator musak; creating a din to fill a silence.

Those who sign this petition are asking that the Sens theme return to it's position of prominence. With all the swirling negativity surrounding the team currently, we believe that a positive move such as this can only serve to brighten the mood of the fans.

Please bring back our song.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
