The political stand in most countries is definate and seems unswayable. Nudity is bad, public nudity is condemed with prison and censoring of nudity still stand high on the governments moral objectives. This is despite a strong public swing of opinion about nudity. More and More people go to nudist beaches and many of those who don't admit that this is only due to their upbringing and if they had been raised differently they wouldn't be embarrased about their nudity.
Already progress as been mad on such issues as breast-feeding in public. No one whould acuse a breast feeding mother of being a pervert, and onlookers who are shocked by this natural act only find themselves questioning thier own morality. But it is still illegal to sun bathe topless on british and american beaches, although wearing ultra-revealing 'provocative' bikinis is not.
Schools regularly show births during science lessons to children as young as 10, no one would say giving birth is immoral or rude, so why does having sexual organs suddenly become obscene outside the context of birth?
Much research has been done on the physcological and social effects of nudism and all show benefits on morals and well being. after all, this 'obsenity' is only one because it has been labelled as such for many decades. Acceptance that nudity is normal could cut many crimes from existance. No body would care about flashers anymore, so flashers wouldn't get any satisfaction from it, etc... Making Nudity taboo and illegal leads to immoral and obscene people.
Therefore we call for the creation of a 'clothes optional day' or 'naturist day' as a first step in bringing back clothing to their original purpose, which was for protection against the environment (cold etc...)
