Save Marie Louise Gardens

To:  Manchester City Council

We, the undersigned, strongly object to the proposed sale of part of Marie Louise Gardens for the purpose of building a large detached house. An 18-room house next to the Lodge, with 14 windows overlooking the Gardens, would put an end to Marie Louise as a place of quiet seclusion and violate the terms under which it was given to the community in 1903. We call upon the Council to abandon its plans to sell off part of the Gardens for private development.
