Nvidia has practically killed Directx 3, 5, 6 and 6.1 support in their newer generation of Windows XP drivers. Most games that require older versions of Direct X are not working anymore or have serious issues. Since they were working fine on the older drivers generations I can see no reason for NVidia to simply leave them out. Geforce 8 and newer cannot use the older generation drivers, so who purchased these cards is not able to run these games properly and there are people like me who would really like to see these games working again. We all know this is not hardware's fault as many think, because newer drivers with older hardware produce the same results.
