We, the people of Georgia, petition the Georgia Congress to investigate the fuel stations who are still charging exorbitant prices for gasoline and diesel fuel. We also charge the investigative bodies to imprison and/or deport (if not verifiable US citizens) those who are found guilty of "price gouging". It is simply ridiculous that, while the average fuel prices in this state is around $3.70 per gallon, most of us are still paying over $4.00 per gallon and that those who inflate the fuel prices are simply fined. This action is tantamount to grand theft and antitrust. Somebody please explain to me why the private citizen is jailed for a period of time for driving off without paying and the store owner is simply fined for overcharging us. Too many of us are working too hard to be able to afford to go to work and this is un-acceptable.
Should the requested action not be taken seriously, then I charge the People of Georgia to take a LEGAL stance of defiance against those who we voted for and trusted to protect us. Simply put, if they cant or wont do the job assigned to them, then we should FIRE them.
