Support Will-Call for Warehouse Ticketing

To:  Warehouse members and DMB fans

We, the undersigned, hereby encourage The Warehouse to implement a will-call system of ticket distribution for all tickets sold to all members for all tours beyond summer, 2005.

A large number of tickets sold to Warehouse members are being acquired by ticketing agencies and brokers. Additionally, some members are attempting to sell unwanted tickets on their own through secondary markets of their own choosing, such as eBay, for huge profits. It is our belief that, if all Warehouse tickets are placed at will-call at each venue to be picked up on the day of each show, then fewer tickets will be sold in secondary markets. Ultimately, we believe that more tickets will end up in the hands of fans.

It is of our belief that a will-call system would be as beneficial for us, the fans, as it would be for you, the Warehouse administrators. If we are aware at the time that we place our Warehouse ticket orders that all tickets that we purchase will be placed at will-call, then we will only request tickets for the shows that we truly plan on attending. You, in turn, will likely have fewer ticket requests to process. The system that we propose will hopefully curb the brokering of Warehouse tickets.

We appreciate all of the work that you do for us and we ask that you seriously consider changing the system for Warehouse ticket distribution to will-call.
