Doom movie petition - by the fans of Doom

To:  Film makers and those involved in the Doom movie

To id Software and Hollywood filmmakers who will be taking part in this movie - many long-time Doom fans have recently heard unconfirmed rumours of the Doom movie that will take the franchise to a whole new level. Most of us, 98% to be exact, have been protesting against this, and we sincerely hope that the film makers would not change the "Doom mythology". Here are some examples of what the majority of us don't want to be changed:

- The location of the invasion. There is no doubt about this, it has to be on Mars, Deimos, Phobos or at least on a post-apocalyptic Earth, not some unknown place called Olduvai

- We humbly and sincerely ask you to return us the old storyline of "Hellish demons invading the base", and not "Base gets invaded by super-virus". For instance, many of us have been seriously disturbed about the part where the technician by the name of Pinky gets changed to a monster. That is changing the Doom franchise a bit too much

We really hope that the film makers would not detract from the Doom franchise too much. The intended changes, like those mentioned above, are unnecessary, and we sincerely hope that you would think twice about them. Please consider not only for the horror-movie fans, but for the long-time Doom fans as well! Thank you!
