The following email was sent to the Horseland Staff when I became curious as to how dog breeds and horse breeds are added to the breed lists of both species at www.horseland.com:

I was wondering if it was possible to nominate a dog or horse breed for possible entry into the list of Horseland's breeds. Is it possible? If so, how is a breed chosen? Are there special requirements for the real life breeds that can be met? If you can answer my questions, I thank you - but if it is not possible at the current time, I understand. I can imagine how many emails with questions, complaints, and the like that you must receive daily.

I had recently bought a small pocket book on dog breeds and was astounded at the number of beautiful AKC breeds that were not included in the HL dog breed list. Seeing Horseland's response above, I decided to act; and the simplest way to get the following breeds put into the breed list, I figured, was to create a petition and have the members that supported these breeds getting into Horseland sign it if they so wished.

The breeds I would like to add to the Horseland breed list are these:
