Gay and Bi Men Donate Blood

I found out today that a male who has EVER had any type of sex (oral, anal etc.) is not and will not be allowed to donate blood. I strongly believe that this is discrimination. A man sleeping with a man can get the same thing a woman sleeping with the same man. So why is she allowed to donate blood and him (and other men like him) not allowed? It’s preposterous. It’s should be a right as a US citizen to be able to donate blood. I believe it is time to lift the band. I know that many men are lying to save lives. I think that a man who is gay, bisexual or just experimented should be allowed to give blood.
