David can't beat Goliath without a slingshot!

We the undersigned fully support David Patlak in his effort to represent all people in Congressional District 18, Miami-Dade County Florida and request that DFA name him to the next Dean Dozen.

Dave is taking on Goliath in running against Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and her Republican machine (which includes the brothers Diaz-Balart). We remember that Ileana is the one who took to the airwaves and incited the riot that stopped the recount in Miami-Dade in 2000.

Dave went to Washington and marched for Women's Choice. He has not only vocalized his disgust with the inhumanity of the new Cuba Policy, but marches with the protestors to show his support. Dave has also been an active member of Democracy for America/Miami-Dade. He is one of us, socially progressive yet fiscally responsible, and has been there since day one, before the group even thought to endorse a candidate.

Dave will fight to uphold women’s reproductive rights and end the global gag rule. He will fight for equal rights for all, and never turn his back on the Constitution. He will fight for affordable health care for everyone, quality education for our children and use his 25 years in the Coast Guard to fully fund first-responders and provide port security that keeps America safe.

Governor Dean asked us to challenge all seats and run for office, and a man who retired from a lifetime of military service and planned on joining the Peace Corps decided to take on one of the most entrenched Republicans in the state. The support of DFA and the Dean Dozen will give this campaign national attention and help fund our slingshot.

Dave Patlak is not a choice but the solution!
