DOMESTIC PARTNER BENEFITS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS NOW!

Withholding domestic partners benefits hurts UT and its community:
The lack of benefits is an equity issue.
UT’s recruitment and retention of key faculty and staff suffers.
UT can afford to provide these health insurance benefits.
Other state universities in states with almost identical laws to those in Texas have found ways to legally offer benefits.

UT must provide these benefits on both moral and practical grounds.

We, the undersigned, call on the following leaders to publicly state their commitment to offering equitable benefits at UT:

President William Powers
Dr. Gregory Vincent, Vice-President for Diversity and Community Engagement
The University of Texas Board of Regents
The Texas State Legislature
