Preservation of the Delta Queen

To:  State Legislatures of Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

We, the undersigned, do hereby call for the preservation of the riverboat Delta Queen. The Delta Queen should be preserved for the education and enjoyment of future generations.

The Delta Queen's storied service record should be enough to garner her honor as a mobile National Historic site. She has seen service in times of war and peace. She has carried, presidents, senators, Congressmen, governors and princes aboard her holds.

We call upon the local and state governments of Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin to enact legislation which will insure the preservation of this historic ship.
