'Animal Cops'

The television segment “Animal Cops” shown on the popular nationally cable syndicated channel called Animal Planet is poisoning people’s image of the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT). This program is shown on cable networks nationwide reaching millions of homes spreading its misinformation and misunderstanding of the breed. The majority of “Animal Cops” segments show the end product of abusive, irresponsible, and downright illegal APBT owners. This has led to the program adopting an overall opinion that all APBTs are bad. Contrast this with another popular program on Animal Planet called “Animal Precinct”. The APBT breed is described for its good qualities separate from any bad qualities that may be brought out by abusive and irresponsible APBT owners.

We must speak for the APBT since they cannot. Programs like “Animal Cops” does not separate the breed from the bad owner. It seems the program is being aired for ratings more than anything else. Fight for our dogs!! Sign below to get this program taken off the air.
