Email spam and spyware programs have grown from a nuisance to a serious threat. Companies and individuals spend excessive amounts of money and resources to keep spam and spyware from overtaking and crashing their systems.

Spam and spyware solely exist as pure evil. Appropriate measures must be taken against the people who send out spam and create / distribute spyware.

This petition is a plea for the government of the United States to consider classifying spammers and spyware creators as acts of high treason. Spam threatens to clog the networks and systems that are the backbone of this nation, and by not being able to function properly would be considered an attack, not just against the individual or company, but an attack against the United States as a whole. Spyware unknowingly (and without consent) records and sends back private information, which should be considered a national security threat.

The crimes for spam and spyware should be dealt with swiftly and severely, upon being found guilty of such crime, the only punishment shall be the death penalty. The method of execution shall be determined by public voting.
