Nominate Duran Duran for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2006

This petition is to request a nomination for Duran Duran into the ock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 for possible induction into the Hall in 2008.

We, the undersigned, are terribly disappointed in the announcement of the 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. We have been writing letters to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation to get Duran Duran considered for a nomination and would still like them to be considered for 2006. We feel that their contributions to the world of music and rock and roll are far too great to be overlooked by the foundation. Duran Duran not only defined the sound of a generation, but many of their songs have been voted amongst the top best ever by several sources. And they are still an important part of rock and roll, having recently toured with sold out shows all over the United States and Europe, including several sold out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City.





Duran Duran deserve a nomination to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and we would like to see this happen in 2006.
