Dear Movie Studios and their corresponding Home Video divisions,

We know that you own a great deal of television programs of all kinds in your respective libraries. We also know you are involved in the digital video disc (DVD) format. And with the proliferation of movies of all kinds on this format, we feel that you give equal attention to TV shows, not just theatrical films.

As DVD collectors, we feel that television programs are, as of this writing, sorely underrepresented on DVD. Examples of those that are available currently are The Twilight Zone, The Avengers, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Star Trek, and The X-Files.

Obviously, it is because of DVD's superiority as a video format that we would like to see our favorite TV shows released, as videocassette is simply inadequate for our needs. And believe me, we most certainly will buy them.

Also, whenever possible, we would like to see supplementary material made available on these discs when you do finally release them. That goes without saying. As a final note, we would like you to release as many episodes as possible of the series that you do release, as well as considering picture and sound restoration for series that are in need of it, whether they originated on film or videotape.
