For 24 years EastEnders has been on our screens, keeping us on the edge of our seats and keeping us entertained. Since you came to be EP of EastEnders in 2006, you have brought back the likes of the brilliant Patsy Palmer, as well as Sid Owen, Charlie Brooks and John Altman. As one of the shows original cast members, Nick is hugely popular and a legend in soap history, as is the character of Sharon Watts (later Rickman).

I think the time is right for Letitia Dean to come back to EastEnders to reprise her role as the show's first lady, the legendary Sharon Watts. Viewers would be able to see a very different perspective of Sharon, as she is now a mother. Walford is Sharon's home, the place she grew up, it is a place where she belongs.

Letitia Dean has expressed interest in returning but said has said that she has not yet been asked back by the EastEnders bosses. As we have the show's 25th anniversary approaching, I think having the iconic Sharon Watts, played by the fantastic Letitia Dean, would be a great thing for the programme and the fans, as she is one of the most popular characters in Soap.

I, a true EastEnders fan, have created this petition, for other fans of the show to sign, so you would atleast consider in bringing back Sharon to EastEnders.
