Pass the Employee Free Choice Act |
To: United States CongressWe, the undersigned, call on the United States Congress to pass the Employee Free Choice Act legislation of 2009 recently introduced in the House of Representatives (H.R. 1409) and the Senate (S.560).
Simply put, passing the Employee Free Choice Act will allow American workers the freedom of choice to form a union on the job without the fear of being fired and it will help workers to bargain and secure a contract with their employer with respect to better wages, benefits and working conditions.
Why is the Employee Free Choice Act important? Because it is critical to rebuild the American middle class and ensure that our economy works for everyone again. Right now, 78 percent of Americans support workers' freedom to form a union and bargain for a better way of life. Shouldn't your representative support it as well?
Sincerely,
