Pleas help save an innocent life
Iranian occupying forces in South Azerbaijan are intensifying their pressure on non-Persian and non-Shi'a peoples. In the country of so called Iran, any person identifying himself or herself as belonging to any other ethnic group other than Persian, or any belief or religion other than Shi’a-Muslim, would automatically put that person in a position of second or third grade citizenship. Since the basic doctrine of Persian Chauvinism is on Persianism and Shi'ism, others have no choice other than conform or be pushed to the sidelines of Iranian power centers.
On February 28, 2009 Mr. Mehdi Qasimzadeh 27, member of "Ahli Haq" religious sect of Islam, and a South Azerbaijani Turk by ethnicity was executed by Iranian Terrorist regime. He was one of many who were arrested, when Iranian Revolutionary Guards (recognized by US and EU as terrorist group) attacked his village, Uch Tepe, 5 years ago. In that attack Iranian Revolutionary Guards killed 6 villagers, wounding many, and arresting tens of people. They took the captives to Urmiye prison, and after torturing them, some were released, but 5 people were prosecuted and sentenced to be executed by hanging. They are Sehend ali Mohammadi, Bakhsh ali Mohammadi, Ibadullah Qasemzadeh, Yunis Aghayan, and Mehdi Qasemzadeh. After many appeals, the sentences of three of them were reduced to thirteen years in prison in a remote exile prison of Yazd, but Yunis Aghayan and Mehdi Qasemzadeh stayed in the death raw. Mehdi qasemzadeh is murdered by Iranian terrorists on Feb. 28 of this year. Now, Yunis Aghayan is waiting for execution by hanging in the public.
We, condemn any kind of death sentence. We are asking all governments, political parties, members of parliaments, and all individuals who defend human rights and freedom of belief to condemn these barbaric acts of Iranian terrorist regime. We are asking you to send your protests to Iranian authorities. May be we can stop the murder of an innocent person Yunis Aghayan.
