Electric Picnic Requests

To:  Aiken Promotions and POD Concerts.

We fans of music in Ireland would like to raise some suggestions for acts participating in this years Electric Picnic 1st-3rd of Septmber 2006.

These bands are perfectly suited for the festival due to their mass appeal and abscence from Irish charts. They are all signed to accesible labels and would love the opportunity to play for an Irish audience.

They may be badly marketted but they are well loved and we would appreciate the chance to see them play at the greatest boutique festival in Europe this summer.

Some of the bands we would love to see are as follows:

Mew - from Denmark, based in London. Represented in the UK by Sony/BMG.

The Crash - Finland, based in Turku. Extensive tours of Europe completed. Represented by Warner Music Finland.

British Sea Power - Well known Brighton based band. Represented by Rough Trade.

We hope that the publics opinion will indeed count and that the inclusion of these bands will make an already great festival, fantastic.
