A growing problem within the Sikh community worldwide is the barring of people in wheel chairs from sitting in the Darbar Sahib (Sikh Temple) with other able bodied Sikhs. This is completely against the teachings of the Great Sikh Gurus who taught people to, recognise the divine light in all and to treat everyone equally regardless of race, religion, culture, nationality, gender etc.
It is the duty of every Sikh to look after and protect the weak within society and so the Sikh community worldwide should welcome disabled people into their temples and provide them with all the care and facilities they require.
So this is a humble request to all people who believe in EQUALITY to sign this petition in support of allowing disabled people in wheel chairs equal access to all parts of a Sikh Temple and its services anywhere in the world.
God bless you
