Dear Sirs,
Please consider that Snake Plissken fans from around the world want to see a sequel directed by John Carpenter starring Kurt Russell rather than a trendy remake of the original "ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK" with an all new cast and crew!

The combination of Carpenter's vision and Russell's performance created the legendary Snake Plissken (a character not to be messed with) back in 1981. This talented and experienced team should be given the opportunity to make a new film. The interest the rumor about "ESCAPE FROM EARTH" gathered worldwide in Summer 2006 shows that people are still waiting for this project to happen.

We hereby declare that we will boycott the upcoming "ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK" remake! Kurt Russell is Snake Plissken and John Carpenter the only possible director for a new "ESCAPE..." film!
