F1 fans against standard engines |
To: FIAWe, the undersigned formula one fans feel that using a single standard engine for all teams in formula one would ruin the essence of innovation in formula one which makes the sport so appealing to so many people.
Any cost saved by using a standardised engine would be overshadowed by the probable loss of F1 teams and the loss of F1 fans across the world.
Manufacturers producing their own engines is, and always has been since the very beginning has been an important part of the sport and manufacturers already use many standard parts on their cars if the sport carries on the way it is going with more restrictions on technological advancement all the cars will end up all exactly the same which will render the sport pointless as there are many other racing series using the same cars as each other.
We ask of you to not go ahead with this ridiculous plan and therefore keep fans and teams interested in the sport of formula one.Sincerely,
