Shut Down Fake Gingko's website!

I, Maru-chan, wish to impress upon you that www.pbase.com/gingko (addressed as the fake site) is a thieving website passing off as Gingko from www.cosplay-cutie.net (addressed as the official website) by stealing her photographs and claiming that they belong to her. Please read the following evidences, which I gathered through my own observations and the real Gingko's explanations:





The fake site less pictures compared to the official site, many pictures which are not of as high quality as those of the official site. This is because the real Gingko scans her photos, while the fake Gingko steals them from the official site or other sites and probably compresses them due to pbase's space limit. Also, all of the real Gingko's Cosplay photos such as her first Rabien Rose cosplay, Asami Satou, Azusa Hinomori, Ranma, Iori, Saint Tail, 該隱 , 楚部日, Dejiko etc are not on that site.





The cosplay culture in Hong Kong is such that cosplay photography is very popular. There are a lot of cosplay websites and galleries online where cosplay photographers upload their works and cosplayers can just grab the photos with their faces in it and use them for their websites. It is therefore possible and very easy for the fake Gingko to nip photos off those sites.





The fake Gingko is very persistent. She knows when the real Gingko has new works and it is believed that what she does is to go to those websites and take those photos. Also, a lot of photographers in Hong Kong like to post their works in online galleries and forums, and she has obviously been pinching my photoshoots from all over the place. As for the real Gingko's earlier photos, they are exclusive to her and can hardly be found on other galleries because her older cosplays were less attractive to the photographers.





The real Gingko has contacted pbase.com before to report him/her, but as fake Gingko is a subscriber (paying member), they did not bother her. Emailing her and posting to her guestbook doesn't help either. She refuses to answer emails, deletes messages and even bans her ip from her guestbook.

http://www.cosplay-cutie.net/media/media03.jpg states that the real Gingko's website is www.tengoku.now.nu. This redirection is no longer working, but fake Gingko states on her website that this url leads to Gingko's 'fake' website.


http://www.cosplay-cutie.net/media/media04.jpg states that real Gingko's website is http://tengoku.uni.cc, which still redirects to cosplay-cutie.net


http://www.cosplay-cutie.net/media/media07.jpg states that www.tengoku.now.nu is real Gingko's website





Fake Gingko also stole artworks from http://album.blog.webs-tv.net/snowleopard

If this isn't credible proof, I don't know what else it.
