THIS PETITION IS FOR SELLERS WHO REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NEW BUYER FEEDBACK ON eBay

We the below sellers do not participate in the new eBay buyer feedback that went into place effective 5/19/2008 for the following reasons:

1. Our great buyers were proud of their feedback history that was better than problematic buyers. The change now makes valued buyers feedback profile equal to problem buyers.

2. Non-Paying deadbeat bidders forces higher costs that are passed onto our great paying bidders. The only defense our great buyers had was a seller to block or avoid problematic bidders.

3. Feedback extortion is now commonplace. Prior to 5/19/2008 there was check & balance. Although it was not perfect it was the only protection buyers and sellers had. The few bad apples are now disregarding "terms of sale" and placing their own conditions on the sale. This is not fair to buyers who vigorously abide by the terms of sale.

4. The new buyer feedback provides for a unlevel playing field for buyers competing with each other for a purchase.

5. The new buyer feedback is useless for sellers to review. Sellers used this information prior to the change to consider how to deal with (or not to deal with) a potential buyer. Great buyers now do not get the preferential treatment they deserve.

We eBay sellers understand that the exact format prior to 5/19/2008 will not be restored. Integrity and fairness for eBay buyers MUST be in place for the below sellers participation.
