Support the Fight Club:SE DVD

This is a petition put forth to implore 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment to continue production of the current special edition release of David Fincher's "Fight Club", starring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter.

"Fight Club", though initially not well received by many in it's theatrical run, has become a major cult favorite during it's life on DVD. Heralded by many as one of the best DVDs ever produced, this 2-disc special edition representation is exactly what fans were asking for, and exactly how the film makers intended the film to be seen. Todd Doogan, of The Digital Bits, calls it, " ...arguably the single most stylish, well-planned and well-executed format entry to date." This fantastic DVD version of "Fight Club" has since gone on to win countless awards, gathering a legion of new fans along the way.

Recently, Fox announced that several special edition DVDs would be getting "downgraded" to more consumer friendly, single disc editions that would boast few or none of the extra features that proved so vital to the success of the current "Fight Club" DVD. Fox representatives have informed the public that the last day "Fight Club: SE" will be available for purchase is August 27, 2002.

We, The Undersigned, ask that if 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment feels the need to manufacture a movie only version of this DVD, that they at least continue to produce the special edition (in all regions) for those film fans that have yet to discover the brilliance of this grossly underrated and underappreciated film. Please continue to show "Fight Club" the undying support it has gotten from the very beginning.

Thank you for allowing a daring film maker to make what we feel will be one of the most influential films of the new millennium, and for creating a representation of this film that the film makers and fans can truly be proud of.
