Uwe Boll Far Cry protest |
To: Ubisoft and CrytekDear Ubisoft and Crytek:
This petition is in protest to the forthcoming movie “Far Cry” from Uwe Boll. This man cares nothing about video games or their fans. He is merely looking for a new genre to exploit, snapping up game franchises left and right. All one has to do is consider some of his previous movies, “House of the Dead” and “Alone in the Dark” to get an idea what’s in store for “Far Cry”. What’s even more alarming is the fact he purchased the rights to this movie before the game was even released on the PC. He blames the lack of success on “dumb fans”, bad dialogue, and bad acting – the first is an insult to his audience, and the latter two are directly attributable to him.
If this movie is released, I will refuse to watch it. As an avid video gamer and a huge “Far Cry” fan, his targeted audience, hopefully this will mean something. If there is any way possible, please buy back the rights to this game. Do not let yet another great franchise become ruined by shoddy filmmaking.
Sincerely,
