SAVE FARMER CITY RACEWAY

To:  City of Farmer City, Illinois

Farmer City Raceway has a long history of providing an outstanding family-oriented environment; of high-quality racing, among the best in the Midwest attracting fans and drivers from across the United States; plus an outstanding legacy of local heroes to the racing community.
Both long-term supporters, those whose families have supported the Farmer City Raceway for generations and those who are new race fans adamantly oppose the closing of Farmer City Raceway.
The demographics of those involved is racing is broad: women, men, children, business owners, white collar workers and blue collar, from single parents to grandparents, race fans and participants cross all walks of life.
We the undersigned, urge the city of Farmer City, Illinois to offer a long-term lease of the Farmer City Fairgrounds to the Fair Association or negotiate with the Fair Association to swap properties, involving the fairgrounds and two other properties in order to save the fairgrounds and the raceway.
