To:  FIA, Formula One Administration

With regards to the incident invloving Kimi Raikonnen and Lewis Hamilton during the closing laps of the Belgian Grand Prix held on Sunday the 7th of September 2008; this petition has been formulated to allow fans from across the globe to publish their feelings regarding the wrongful penalisation of Lewis Hamilton. It underlines and emphasises each and every individuals' outrage with this particular decision by the stewards. It also asks how Formula One can be taken seriously in the future as spectator doubt will be felt from the ripples of this incident. Quoting the FIA on many occasions: how can we 'improve the spectacle of F1' when inspiring, exciting and above all, legitimate overtaking manouveres are punished? Although asking the FIA to overturn the decision may prove impossible, we must as fans let them know when we have been disgraced.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
