Fisher People against P.E.T.A.

To:  National Governments, PETA

We the Fisher people of the world, who practice best fishing practices, that is; catch and release fishing, keeping only enough for a feed and not loading freezers with fish, and practicing environmental protection. Strongly feel that PETA's calling for the complete ban of all fishing, both commercial and recreational, is not in the best interest of the world-wide economy, and is a serious infringement upon our rights to provide for our families and to enjoy the outdoors environment.

What PETA Want
- Complete ban of all fishing, both commercial and recreational
- To cause ECONOMICAL TURMOIL when the industries that rely on fishing collapse, including Tourism & Hospitality, Manufacturing & Retail, as well as the BILLIONS of dollars the recreational fisherperson spends in the economy each year.
- To re-name fish "Sea Kittens" - They obviously haven’t thought this trough, not all fish come from the sea, what about the freshwater species in the world, carp, catfish & Pike for example. And the confusion that will be caused by various names such as "Dog Sea Kitten", "Cat Sea Kittens", "Lion Sea Kitten" need i go on?

What we want:
- To be allowed to eat an important food source, full of Omega Fats that promote brain development.
- To be allowed to spend time outdoors enjoying the surrounding environment as we come up with imaginative ways to coax fish to our lures and to admire these fine and diverse creatures.
- To support BILLION dollar industries and to support people in their lively hoods.
