We, the undersigned citizens of Texas, call on the Texas Department of Transportation to re-design their proposed expansion of Highways 290 and 71 through Oak Hill in Southwest Austin.

We further call on TxDOT to adopt the community's alternative vision. The community's alternative would:
1. reduce impact on surrounding neighborhoods and businesses
2. reduce cost
3. enhance business access, especially at the Y
4. reduce impervious cover
5. reduce time and impact of construction
6. reduce environmental impact and disturbance to Williamson Creek
7. enhance connectivity
8. enhance the landscape
9. eliminate tolls
10. accomplish above goals while also reducing traffic congestion and expanding highway capacity.
