I believe that Frank Wilkinson, having served 20 years in prison for a murder he has consistently protested he did not commit, deserves justice on the following counts:
1. Had he admitted guilt, it is likely he would have been a free man by now. Perversely, his insistence on his innocence seemingly counts against him.
2. He is still a Category A prisoner. He has received little or no recognition from the Prison Service for his educational achievements or for successfully transforming himself from a man overcome by fury and desperation into a determined but reasonable and civilised human being under circumstances in which such characteristics are not easily fostered.
