Free Stone Temple Pilots!

I met Scott Weiland recently at a show and he told me to write to you guys, so I thought I would make a petition on behalf of all STP fans. You people at Atlantic Records have been demanding that STP record their next album for your label which is slowing down the process and depriving fans from great music from this legendary band. Until you let Scott Weiland and Eric Kretz out of their contracts with Atlantic Records, we will not buy any music from Atlantic Records/Warner Music Group, even if by the grace of god Led Zeppelin did another album, we still will not buy it!

It is completely wrong what you are doing by holding a gun to the band's head and trying to force them to record their next record for you and we as fans will not stand for it. Scott Weiland has said he doesn't want to focus on having the pressure to write hit singles anymore which obviously doesn't fit your business model, so why not let them out? Free STP! Give them the freedom to release their music however they want to!
