Free the BBC Two

We, the undersigned, believe the BBC's handling of the Brand/Ross situation to be wholly heavy-handed and a kneejerk reaction to "public" opinion.

As members of the public, we believe the responsibility for these events lies with *you*, the BBC, and the people responsible within your organisation for allowing the content to be broadcast. The show was pre-recorded, as many other shows are at the BBC, and yet you still allowed this content to be aired.

Suspending Mr Brand and Mr Ross for their involvement appeases the baying "masses" only - it does not resolve the flawed management processes in place at the BBC that allowed this content to be broadcast.

With this in mind, and because we enjoy the work of Mr Brand and Mr Ross, and fully understand their comedy to be sarcastic and often "over the line", we demand they and their BBC output be reinstated immediately. We will boycott BBC output until they are returned.

We understand that online petitions may not be worth the the paper they are printed on, but we would very much like Mr Brand and Mr Ross to understand that a majority of the public appreciates the work they do at the BBC and elsewhere.

This petition is in support of them.
