Nosotros, los abajo firmantes, condenamos enйrgicamente las acciones realizadas por el gobierno de Israel durante junio de 2006 en contra del pueblo Palestino y de su gobierno, recientemente elegido de forma democrбtica. Dichas acciones incluyen:

- La detenciуn de unos 60 altos funcionarios del gobierno palestino, incluyendo a ocho ministros y a diputados elegidos por votaciуn popular, en un claro irrespeto a la soberanнa del pueblo palestino.

- La destrucciуn de un generador que suple de electricidad a mбs de 600 mil personas y que tambiйn las ha dejado sin agua potable.

- El bombardeo y destrucciуn de varios puentes de la franja de Gaza, con la excusa de evitar el escape de los secuestradores de un soldado israelн, dejando incomunicadas a miles de personas de ese sector.

- El ataque por parte de tropas israelнes contra una playa en Gaza repleta de baсistas inocentes, que causу la muerte de diez civiles incluyendo tres niсos, asн como otros ataques muy recientes que tambiйn han dejado como saldo la muerte de varias personas inocentes.

- El apresamiento indiscriminado de cientos de civiles, incluyendo a mujeres y niсos, supuestamente vinculados con grupos combatientes palestinos.

- El ingreso a Siria de aviones militares israelнes, que sobrevolaron el palacio presidencial de ese paнs en clara violaciуn de la soberanнa de esta naciуn.

- Las continuas amenazas de eliminar al gobierno palestino de no aparecer el soldado secuestrado.

Repudiamos el secuestro del soldado israelн Guilad Shalit, pero pensamos que las acciones del gobierno israelн contra el gobierno y el pueblo palestino y sirio son absolutamente injustificadas, totalmente condenables y que han superado cientos de veces las acciones que han cometido los secuestradores de este joven.

Tambiйn repudiamos el silencio cуmplice que han hecho la mayor parte de los gobiernos occidentales ante estas claras violaciones a los derechos humanos de cientos de miles de personas inocentes, a las cuales se les estб negando el derecho de recibir electricidad, agua potable y libre movilizaciуn, se secuestra a su gobierno y se les ataca como si fueran objetivos militares. Pedimos a la Organizaciуn de las Naciones Unidas y a los gobiernos de todos los paнses del mundo intervenir ante estos hechos.

Igualmente, suplicamos a la comunidad judнa de todo el mundo pronunciarse y protestar ante su gobierno, para que no permitan que el sufrimiento padecido por sus antepasados durante el Holocausto Judнo se repita ahora contra el pueblo palestino, a manos del gobierno israelн.


We, the undersigners, condemn the actions conducted by the government of Israel on June, 2006 against the Palestinian people and its government, recently chosen in a democratic way. These actions include:

- The arrest of aprox. 60 members of the Palestinian government, including eight ministers and many parliamentaries chosen by popular voting, in a clear irrespect to the sovereignty of the Palestinian people.

- The bombing and destruction of a electric generator, leaving without electricity and water to aprox. 600,000 palestinians.

- The bombing and destruction of several bridges of the Gaza Strip, under the excuse of avoiding the escape of the kidnappers of an Israeli soldier, leaving thousands of people without communication.

- The israeli attack against a beach in Gaza with hundred of innocent swimmers, causing the death of ten civilians including three children; as well as other recent attacks that killed several innocent people.

- Indiscriminating arrest of hundreds of civilians, including many women and children, supposedly tie with Palestinian combatant groups.

- The violation of syrian air space by Israeli military airplanes, that flew over the presidential palace of that country in clear violation of their sovereignty.

- The continuous threats to eliminate the Palestinian government if the kidnapped soldier doesn't appears.

We condemn the kidnapping of the Israeli soldier Guilad Shalit, but we think that the actions of the Israeli government against Palestine and Syria are absolutely unjustified and totally condemnable.

We also condemn the silence made by most of the governments in the western hemisphere. We ask to the United Nations and the governments of all the countries of the world to condemn those facts and take actions. Also, we ask to the Jewish Community worldwide to pronounce against the actions of the government of Israel, demanding that the suffering during the Jewish Holocaust will not be repeated, this time against the Palestinian people.
