To The A.C.L.U. RE: Granite City School Dist 9

We the undersigned Parents, Students and Citizens of the Granite City School District 9 hereby petition The American Civil Liberties Union to represent our interests and to defend our Constitutional Rights under the First and Fourteenth Amendments to The Constitution Of The United States of America. The Board of the School District voted to impose a Uniform Policy with out the benefit of any demonstration of Cause as required. In addition the board failed to offer any form of parental “opt out” clause to accommodate different spiritual or religious needs. The School Board has failed to demonstrate how this policy will improve the health, safety or educational well being of any or all students affected by this decision. Whereby, we the undersigned, humbly request the assistance of The American Civil Liberties Union in this Matter.
