Between April 2005 and now, forces in the Southwest Province of Cameroon have killed eight students during demonstrations by students of the University of Buea and Secondary and High School students in Kumba. These students were agitating for a better academic environment, but were confronted by forces that quickly opened fire with life ammunitions on them killing some and serious injuring may others. They Killings, no doubt were premeditated

Your government, as usual, created Commissions of inquiry to investigate the brutality and killings, but until now, the findings of the commissions are yet to be made public. The bruised families continue grieve over their lost children while the killer officers roam the streets as free persons prepared to kill more students and peaceful demonstrating Cameroonians at any time.

Global Conscience has asked your government to investigate and sanction the killings, but your government appears to be interested in the impunity.

Cameroon is a signatory to various international treaties guaranteeing the right to life of all persons, and Cameroon posits to be a state of law.

Global Conscience is therefore soliciting beseeching your government to, with immediate effect,
open investigations into the brutality and killings
publish your findings,
prosecute the perpetrators of these heinous abuses and sanction them according to existing laws, and
meet and compensate the families of the deceased victims as well as all others who suffered severe injuries.

Your Excellencys government will be legitimizing its mandate over the Cameroonian people only when humanity can witness that you actually served ALL Cameroonians justice.
