Petition to Keep GIL Express

To:  University System of Georgia; Board of Regents

For college students on any level, whether undergraduate or graduate, in addition to many, many members of faculty and stuff, research is a vital part of our education. In this great age of technology, the option to simply click on the title of any book throughout the University System of Georgia libraries and have it delivered to you is what allows us—the researchers—to identify which sources will be beneficial and which sources will not be, without physically having to drive to various libraries all over the state of Georgia to do our research (What a blessing when gas is over $4.00 a gallon!). I propose that all who will be affected by the decision of the Board of Regents to cut GIL Express from the University System of Georgia budget sign this petition so that the profound impact of not having GIL Express will be understood and felt by the members of the Board of Regents, not just the students, faculty, and staff affected by this decision.
