Make Oxford Street Safer

To:  New South Wales State Government, City of Sydney Local Government, Australian Federal Government

Members of the gay community are beginning to no longer feel safe in Oxford Street, Sydney. The number of anti-gay hate crimes in the area continues to rise, and despite calls for action, little has been done to combat this issue.

This petition has been established to not only create awareness on the lack of effort made to resolve this issue, but to have general consensus heard; to have more police patrolling Oxford Street and surrounding areas (during evenings in particular), ensuring the safety of those in the area at all times.
