Twitter have been discussing about launching "Twitter Geolocation", This means whenever you send a message or "Tweet" it will pinpoint your exact location. We are seriously concerned about this as a number of celebrities use twitter to keep in touch with their fans. This means whenever they "tweet" people will be able to see where they are sending the message from whether it be from home, or a friends house. But this doesn't just mean celebrities it could also happen to YOU! We already have celebrity verification so why would we want to know where they live? or where they are sending messages from? Celebrities already have problems with stalkers, and knowing where they are tweeting from is very worrying. This will cause many of the celebrities as well as the general public to leave twitter. As this is a threat for you as well, it could lead to an increase of burglaries, as it makes it easier to track when you are home & not. This is an invasion of privacy and should be stopped right away! Please sign the petition to stop this from happening. We believe that you should have the right to keep your location private, and only share information like that if you wish to do so. Thank you.
